We’ve noticed over the last few days that Haden’s hair is turning very, very blonde. We think it’s because he’s been spending so much time outside over the last week…
Haden is looking more and more like a “toddler". In fact, we think he can be officially referred to as a toddler now. On Saturday, he made the official move from a crawling preference to a walking preference. He walks everywhere now, and if he falls down he pushes back up to a standing position to continue walking. Any bets on how long it will be before he runs?
Haden had to see Henry and family off this evening.
Here are the boys on their nature walk today:
Haden and Henry spent the afternoon at the Tampa Zoo.
Haden making friends with a goat…
Well it was a 5th story balcony…..(at Grandma and Grandpa’s hotel).
Haden and Henry spent some quality time in the hot tub this afternoon.
Haden was able to spend some quality time with Mom this evening. He ended up watching “The Reader” as the Oscars are coming up soon.
Forgot to mention that he also saw “Milk” over the weekend so that makes a clean sweep of all of the Best Picture nominees.
Mom had to go back to North Dakota this week. Fortunately, she comes back home tonight.
Haden is fascinated with anything cold lately. Maybe this Florida lifestyle is sheltering him a bit.
Haden went for a hike today with the family, to enjoy the wonderful weather we’ve been having lately. Haden liked the hike so much, he slept for the majority of it.
Haden had to help mom plant some new flowers up front.
Haden and Dad invented a new game tonight. Haden couldn’t decide if it was more fun to catch the race car or watch it dive off the end of the table.
Haden’s walking skills have progressed amazingly well this week. He consistently walks 5 or 8 steps at a time, and has even accomplished a “down and back” walk all on his own.
In this photo, you’ll notice Haden’s first ‘boo boo’ that he got last week while taking a ride down a slipper slide. It’s just below his lip on the right corner of his mouth.
As a side note, over the last 3 or 4 weeks, Haden has started to recognize a number of words. When prompted, he can now locate his bear, his belly, his toes, his doggie, and a book (even if these things are in another room!) - in addition to mommy, daddy and the kitty.
Haden had to help bottle the new Irish Red we are making.
Haden stopped by the Florida State Fair today. He really liked petting the “kitties".
Haden had to wear red to participate in the “National Wear Red Day” for women’s heart disease awareness.
It’s going to get down to 25 degrees Fahrenheit tonight. That’s the coldest it’s been since Mom and Dad moved to Florida 6 year ago.
Haden’s favorite foods of late are: strawberries, pears, macaroni & cheese, and meatballs - in that order. Here he is eating a few of his beloved strawberries, which are just coming in season in Florida so our boy is in luck!
Haden had another good day at school. He has been getting hugs from one of the girls there.
Haden had to break out a special bear for the big game.
