Grandma was in town tonight and she was able to take Haden out to dinner.
Not sure what he was thinking here… (honestly, he grabbed this pot from the kitchen and carried it into the bathroom himself)
Haden was so rambunctious today! He played so hard this evening; chasing the cat, running around the island in the kitchen, emptying the pantry. It only took one little second for Haden to grab and empty his box of O’s. Pretty funny, huh? ![]()
Haden jumped in the hot tub after working in the yard all day.
Haden had a very busy evening tonight. First, he wanted to hang out in the refrigerator for awhile (I had to tell him it wasn’t a very good thing to do the day after Earth Day)…
Then he decided to ride his Rody Pony for awhile…
Until it bucked him off…
And then he decided to show Mama how good he is at putting on his own shoes.
On another note: during his play session tonight, Haden actually put a puzzle back together and then returned it to the proper place on his toy shelf… and then did it again!! We’ll see if he repeats this nifty trick. ![]()
Haden just wanted to say “Happy Earth Day"!
For the last several weeks, Haden has been standing in front of the fridge and ‘yelling’ to tell us when he needs a drink. Today marked a new milestone, however: when I opened the fridge, he started digging and found a bottle of his drinkable yogurt, then handed it to me and waited for me to put it in a sippy cup for him!
Haden was so tuckered out this afternoon after he came home from day care that he couldn’t even make it through his afternoon snack.
Poor little boy.
Haden was very subdued tonight, and when I asked him why he pulled out his Kimochi doll and flashed this little word at me. I think he misses Dad, as he’s out of town this week for work.
Dad’s company picnic was today at a Florida-style ranch. Haden had a great time: he played on the firetruck…
he sat on a panda bear…
and best of all, he got to take his first ever pony ride! Amazingly, he rode the pony (with Dad’s help) all the way around the path, and didn’t protest once!
Haden is starting to work on his own self portraits.
Haden can actually “play” this and make pretty good sounds. He also makes great faces while he’s “playing", but we didn’t catch them on camera tonight.
Haden went to his 15 month checkup today. Only one shot (chicken pox) and he is now a 22 pounder that is really tall at 33 inches.

This is Haden’s idea of kitty love. Amazingly, Zero is being very patient with him – as you can see. Do you think she looks worried?
Haden got a new 2009 style “Easter basket” from Grandma and Grandpa today. This Bilibo is supposed to encourage unstructured play – and Haden is certainly taking this seriously. So far, his favorite activity is to sit in it while mom spins it around.
Haden’s newest trick is to act like he’s not watching.
Not sure what happens if you read it upside down.
Haden thinks that you should lick the salt off the chip before eating.
