It’s amazing how busy a two year can be. It’s even more amazing how busy 2 two year olds can be.
Haden has had an infatuation with his tongue lately, especially when he sees a camera. ![]()
On the third day of Henry’s visit, the family took a walk to our neighborhood park. It seems Haden can ride the slide for hours and hours without losing an ounce of enthusiasm. (He still usually calls them “wee’s".)
“How fast does this thing go, anyway?”
There’s nothing like the open road…
…except maybe a good swing!
After a long day at the zoo, Haden and Henry spent the evening ‘relaxing’ by playing The Race Game. Here you can see Grandpa at the start line and the two moms at the finish line.
The reward at the finish line is one to be cherished… not sure who enjoys it more, though.
Here’s Haden in action.
The boys are very articulate for +/- 2 year olds, but I think their expression says more than anything here. “Really, again?! Do we have to entertain you ALL the time?”
A couple of weekends ago, Haden was visited by his cousin Henry, Aunt Kirsten, Uncle Jaron, Grandpa, and Grandma Kaye Kaye!
On the first day of their visit, the family went to Lowry Park Zoo, where Haden got up close and personal with a goat in the petting zoo. Have a look!
Here are Haden and Henry conspiring to find the best way to make their escape.
While at the zoo, Haden also got to feed his second giraffe in a month! In this video with him are Dad, Aunt Kirsten, Uncle Jaron and cousin Henry… oh and of course the star giraffe.
While at the zoo, Haden insisted on riding the train with Dad…
He also spent the better part of an hour crawling “round and round” in the tunnel in the play area…
Haden and Henry sat very, very close to this bear… they had every reason to look a little scared; the bear was just inches away through the plexiglass, and we could hear him sniffing us through his feeding door just beside Haden.
Back at home, the boys spent a little quiet time watching “Cars".
Haden had fun getting acquainted with the stone crab claws (or “get you’s") that we made for dinner tonight.
And there’s always time for a little reading after dinner…
On a side note, Haden has officially started teething his last set of molars, at least on the bottom!
Lately, Haden insists that we take his picture as he zooms around the island in our kitchen on his “motorcycle".
For awhile we went through a stage where it was really difficult to get pictures of Haden, but lately he’s remembered how much fun it can be to strike a pose for the camera.
Haden had a great weekend - he took Mom and Dad to the Florida State Fair! There were so many animals to see and touch…
… and so many rides to ride…
… and so many people (?) to meet!
