On Sunday, we were all excited to go to the MacDill Airfest here in Tampa (especially Haden) and see the Navy’s Blue Angels perform.
However, Mother Nature had other ideas - the airshow was cancelled due to a deluge of rain. So, we had to come up with another fun plan for Haden. Luckily, we found the Florida Gulf Coast Train Museum and were able to catch a train to ride for the afternoon! We all enjoyed the old train as it thundered (OK - more like lumbered) down the tracks.

Bye, bye train!

Saturday was Daddy’s birthday!
To celebrate, the family headed to a Grapefruit League baseball game between the Toronto Bluejays and Atlanta Braves in Dunedin - a ’small’ town near Clearwater. The weather was gorgeous - finallly!
Here’s Haden and the Birthday Boy!

After the game, Haden took Daddy to a nearby brewery for dinner, then we all walked on the Dunein City Pier where we encountered this bird.
At home at last, Haden and Mommy surprised Daddy with a birthday cake and candles! Hopefully Daddy’s and Haden’s wishes will come true!
Last week, Haden had the opportunity to travel to Colorado for an extended weekend in he mountains with his Mom and Dad, Aunt Brenda, Uncle Max and cousins Bill, Nathan and Joel. It was a fantastic weekend - he accomplished lots of firsts!
Here is Haden in his first snow suit!
Here’s Haden taking his first sled ride.
And he made a new friend - his very first snowman with Aunt Brenda!
A first taste of snow flakes - this definitely is not Tampa!
And - the trip would not have been complete without a good snowball fight!
We had a fantastic view from our lodge.
Mom and Dad had a chance to get away for a day of skiing, thanks to Aunt Brenda’s and Uncle Max’s offer to watch Haden!

We all decided to go to the local Thai Temple (Wat Mongkolratanaram) for their famous Sunday brunch on Sunday.
